Program Mission

The staff of the Nuclear Medicine Service at the Miami VA Healthcare System is dedicated to providing our Veterans and Servicemembers with the highest quality, most cost-effective health care services available.

Services Provided

Presently all nuclear medicine imaging, including radiopharmaceutical therapy, and diagnostic abdominal ultrasound imaging, is offered at the Bruce W. Carter VA Medical Center. Shortly, when it opens, we will be providing PET/CT Imaging (Positron Emission/Computerized Axial Tomography) at the William "Bill" Kling VA Clinic.

Hours of Operation

The Nuclear Medicine Service is physically located on the 2nd floor of the Bruce W. Carter VA Medical Center, directly across from the VA Canteen. Unscheduled and scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are performed 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday. After-hours emergency coverage is provided 24/7.
