The Miami VA Healthcare System is committed to helping Veterans, their families and caregivers understand their health needs and make informed decisions. The Miami VA Veteran Health Education team wants to be an active partner in your Veterans' health care, by providing information and resources that teach self-management and coping skills. We want to offer health information that is useful and understandable.
Veteran Health Education Resource Center
The Veteran Health Education Center is staffed by experienced personnel and program specialists. The center contains a collection of easy-to-read health and wellness materials, respected health education newsletters, videos, computers and other materials. Your health education staff is happy to help you access the health information you need.

My HealtheVet is a website that provides Veterans patient education information and the latest VA news. Information on Veterans' benefits and services is also available.
After registering at the website, www.myhealth.va.gov, you may want go to your VA clinic or hospital and complete the in-person-authenticated (IPA) process which will allow you to re-order your medications online.
Veterans Health Library
The Veterans Health Library is an online library of health topics geared toward Veterans. Visit the Veterans Health Library at www.veteranshealthlibrary.org/ and take charge of your health today.
Clinical staff provides ongoing health education during regularly scheduled outpatient clinic visits. Classes focus on health promotion, tests and procedures, diagnoses, treatment options and medications. Doctors, nurses, and other clinical staff begin the health education process when you are admitted, during your stay, and at discharge.
