The Miami VA Healthcare System parent facility is located in the Civic Center Complex district. It is easily accessible by using Public Transportation*. Our Metrorail "Civic Center" Station is located on the southeast corner of the Bruce W. Carter VA Medical Center campus.

Free Downtown Parking for Veterans with Appointments
Free downtown parking is available for Veterans with appointments at the Bruce W. Carter VA Medical Center. This parking garage—located at 26 SE 1st St., Miami, FL 33131—is serviced by three shuttles that run continuously Monday – Friday between 9:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Veterans with appointments between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. are encouraged to go directly to the new parking garage and take the free shuttle to the main hospital. Miami-Dade County Patriot Pass
Disabled Veterans who are permanent residents of Miami-Dade County are eligible to apply for a Patriot Passport EASY Card. Based on their military discharge category, Veterans who are permanent residents of Miami-Dade County and have an annual income of $27,994 or less may be eligible to ride transit free with the Patriot Passport EASY Card.
