Flu Shots

Flu shots for the 2016-2017 season will be available at all Miami VA locations from Sept. 21 to March 31. Flu season is from August to April. The best way to protect yourself and your loved ones this flu season is to get a flu shot.

Influenza is a common, often miserable, illness that can be serious for some people. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention* recommends that every person age 6 months and older receive a flu shot. Remember, you cannot get the flu from a flu shot. For more information about flu vaccinations visit the CDC* or VHA Public Health websites.

Where can I get a flu shot?

Enrolled Veterans can take their Veteran's ID card and request a flu shot during scheduled appointments or on a walk-in basis at all Miami VA Healthcare System outpatient clinics at the times listed below.
