You're invited to the VA Women Veteran Athletes Exhibit from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, March 15 in the Spinal Cord Injury Unit patio at the Bruce W. Carter VA Medical Center. The address is 1201 NW 16th St. Miami, FL 33125.

The Bruce W. Carter VA Medical Center was selected as one of 10 VA medical centers nationwide to host exhibitions showcasing 10 women Veteran athletes, featuring pictures of them taken by renowned woman Veteran photographer Stacy Pearsall. The exhibits are meant to raise national awareness of the service, diversity, and resilience of women Veterans. U.S. Air Force Veteran Ivanna Brown is one of the women Veterans featured in the exhibition and will speak at this event about how athletics and sports have changed her life.

Come out and see the portraits of these 10 incredible women Veteran athletes, have your picture taken for future women Veteran displays and test your abilities in one of our athletic games. Prizes, giveaways and refreshments will be available. For those requiring transportation in Broward County, a shuttle will depart from the William “Bill” Kling VA Clinic at 10:30 a.m.
