Miami VA hosting 5th annual VA2K Walk and Roll
The Miami VA Healthcare System will host its 5th annual VA2K Walk and Roll to support homeless Veterans and encourage healthy activity on May 20 at 11:30 a.m. at the Bruce W. Carter VA Medical Center’s West Patio.
This free event is open to the public. Participants can bring donated food, clothing and hygiene items that will go to help homeless Veterans across South Florida. There is no requirement to donate in order to participate.
Pre-registration is not required, and those interested in participating should plan to arrive at the medical center no later than 11:30 a.m. Participants visiting the medical center can park in the West Parking Lot. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase from local food truck vendors.
To make a donation prior to the event, donation boxes are located near the Bruce W. Carter VA Medical Center’s main entrances and at the William “Bill” Kling VA Clinic. To make an online donation to support homeless Veterans, visit the VISN 8 donation page, click "Continue to the Form," select "Miami" and choose "Homeless Veterans" in the Program for Donation field.
