This is a milestone few people achieve in their lives; he was born on February 25 in Marsala, Italy and came to the US at age 10. His family settled in New York and during World War II he served in the US Army and was stationed in Germany for 4 years. After serving his country proudly, he worked for 30 years at the horse track which he loved. “Jimmy” as he likes to be called, stated that he keeps young by exercising 3 times per week and having a positive outlook on life. He is wise, funny and still enjoying life.

For the last ten years, he has been a patient at the Hollywood VA Outpatient Clinic in Hollywood, Florida and is very much loved by the staff. On February 25 of this year, Jimmy came in for what he thought was a routine appointment and was greatly surprised that it was a surprise party with balloons and the works. The VA staff brought a pot luck lunch as well as a birthday cake. Jimmy stated that next year he was buying pizza for everyone.

Jimmy said, “I am always on the move in order to keep my brain active. I have has a passion for dancing, traveling, listening to music, and reading books. I am a great cook and enjoy making spaghetti with seafood or meatballs.”
