Parking
Parking Available! The Bruce W. Carter VA Medical Center has made parking easier by freeing up spaces and providing dedicated parking for our Veterans in the west lot.
Inpatients
The Medical Center grounds cannot accommodate cars for our inpatients. Patients admitted into the Medical Center should make arrangements with a family member to park elsewhere. If desired, there is a parking garage across from the Medical Center; however, patients are responsible for their own parking expenses.
Outpatients
Outpatients may take advantage of our free valet parking. Tips to parking attendants are discouraged.
The VA will not assume responsibility for loss, theft or damage during the period your car is on the Medical Center grounds.

- South Lot: Valet Parking
- West Lot: Veteran Dedicated Parking
- North Lot: Physician Parking
Handicapped Parking
Handicapped parking is available in the South and West lots.
Security
Miami VA Healthcare System Police Officers provide 24-hour patrols of the facility and parking lots. During your visit, for general police assistance, please dial 3661. In case of an emergency, dial 3333. Report all suspicious or criminal activity, vehicle accidents, and personal property losses to the VA Police while on the facility grounds as soon as possible.
